1. Why was WSATF created?
The Washington Staff Assault Task Force, a chapter of National Staff Assault Task Force started recruitment in February of 2008 with 28 members at the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla. The Task Force was formed by a group of concerned Correctional employees who banded together and formed a non-profit, membership controlled, employee organization to fight back.
2. What are WSATF objectives?
WSATF will assist Law Enforcement and staff who have been assaulted.
WSATF will assist our member in holding the inmate accountable through the Civil Court process.
WSATF will ensure that members have a voice.
3. How do I become a member?
Visit our Membership page and complete the online application. For a minimum amount of $12.00 per month you become a member of WSATF and receive a $10,000 life insurance policy.
4. How to file a claim?
Email a signed copy of your incident report. Include your full name, last four of your social security number, your mailing address and contact phone number. If you were taken off work due to this assault, include your latest doctors note taking you off work. Contact WSATF with any questions.
